Pauline Bartel of Bartel Communications Inc.,  is among a group of members selected by The Chamber of Southern Saratoga County to appear on a billboard, saluting the organization's 45th business anniversary. With GPS artwork and the message "The Chamber of Southern Saratoga County: 45 Years As Our Destination For Success," the billboard appears on Route 9, south of Ushers Road in Clifton Park from January 2 through January 15, 2012.

 

December 2011

Pauline Bartel of Bartel Communications Inc.,  participated in a private tour of GlobalFoundries Fab 8 Module 1, along with other members of The Chamber of Southern Saratoga County's Board of Directors. The semiconductor manufacturing facility is located in the Luther Forest Technology Campus in Ballston Spa, NY.

 

Pauline Bartel of Bartel Communications Inc.,  developed the branding theme "Your Chamber: Celebrating 45 Years As Your Destination For Success" for the year-long business anniversary campaign The Chamber of Southern Saratoga will launch in 2012.

 

November 2011

Pauline Bartel of Bartel Communications Inc., presented the program "Building a BUZZ for Your Business" for the Capital Region Women's Network (CRWN). She shared the four principles of BUZZ marketing and  showed how an investment of time and creativity can increase visibility for a business, create top-of-the-mind awareness and boost a company's bottom line.

 

Pauline Bartel of Bartel Communications, Inc., facilitated an idea generation session for members of the Consulting Alliance  to help design the Alliance's 20th anniversary celebration. 

 

Pauline Bartel of Bartel Communications, Inc., was elected to serve a second three-year term on the Board of Directors of The Chamber of Southern Saratoga County. She chairs the Chamber's Marketing Committee and the Chamber's 45th Anniversary Committee. 

October 2011

Pauline Bartel of Bartel Communications, Inc., was re-appointed Chair of the Publicity Committee of the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Waterford Public Library. She will serve a one-year term.  

 

Bartel Communications, Inc., is working with The Chamber of Southern Saratoga County on an integrated marketing and public relations campaign for the Chamber's 45th business anniversary in 2012. The integrated marketing and public relations campaign Bartel Communications created for the Chamber's 40th anniversary won four industry awards, including the 2008 Mark of Excellence Award from the American Marketing Association.

 

Pauline Bartel of Bartel Communications participated in The Chamber of Southern Saratoga County's Board of Director's Strategic Planning Retreat. Ms. Bartel is Chair of the Chamber's Marketing Committee and the Chair of the Chamber's 45th Anniversary Strategic Planning Committee. 

September 2011

Pauline Bartel of Bartel Communications, Inc., was selected by Governor Andrew Cuomo's Office to attend President Bill Clinton's keynote speech at the New York Open For Business Conference at the Empire State Plaza Convention Center. She will represent Bartel Communications, Inc., a company certified by New York State as a Woman-owned Business Enterprise (WBE) and The Chamber of Southern Saratoga County. Ms. Bartel is a member of the Chamber's Board of Directors.

Bartel Communications, Inc., was contracted by McDonald Studio in South Bend, Indiana, to create an integrated marketing and public relations campaign for the photography studio's 150th business anniversary. 

Pauline Bartel of Bartel Communications, Inc., was profiled in the "Word on the Street" column in the December/January issue of Visions, the magazine published by the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce. In answer to the question "How has your membership in the Chamber helped to grow your business?," Pauline responded:

"Active participation in the Women's Business Council (WBC) has helped Bartel Communications to grow, especially in our niche area of business anniversary consulting. In 2007, we partnered with the WBC for a fundraiser for the adopted nonprofit. The goal of 'Dime Time' was to collect 10,000 dimes in 10 months in honor of our 10th anniversary. Wearing a sparkly silver top hat, I became 'The Dime Time Dame' at WBC meetings, asking for dime donations that Bartel Communications then matched. We had fun, exceeded our goal and showcased for prospective clients our creativity in planning and executing business anniversary 'sell'-abrations."

The article "Making Yourself Memorable at Networking Events" by Pauline Bartel of Bartel Communications was reprinted in the "Welcome to the Boardroom" column of the November 12, 2010 edition of the Ballston Journal. The article appeared in "Welcome to the Boardroom" originally in July 2010.

October 2010

Pauline Bartel of Bartel Communications participated in The Chamber of Southern Saratoga County's Board of Director's Strategic Planning Retreat. During the retreat, Pauline, who is Chair of the Chamber's Marketing Committee, and the Chair of the Ambassador's Committee unveiled a new Member-Get-a-Member initiative, which has the goal of "running with 1,000 Chamber members" by 01/11/11. 

Pauline Bartel of Bartel Communications donated writing and media relations services to the Friends of the Waterford Public Library for the National Celebration of Friends Week (October 18 through 24, 2010). Bartel assisted with a grant proposal to American Girl Doll for a historical doll that could be used by the Friends for fundraising. As a result, the Friends received Rebecca, a Jewish-Russian immigrant doll, representing circa 1914. Rebecca was the guest of honor at a moms-daughters-and-dolls tea party that the Friends hosted on October 9, 2010. The doll will be raffled off in December 2010 by the Friends. Bartel obtained print media coverage of both the doll donation and the tea party in issues of River Life.

September 2010

Bartel Communications donated media relations services to the Albany-Colonie Regional Chamber of Commerce's Women's Business Council for its Symposium on Excellence to be held in October 2010. Bartel Communications also donated marketing services to The Chamber of Southern Saratoga County for its Think Local, Buy Local Campaign, which launched in September 2010.

August 2010

Bartel Communications planned and launched a publicity campaign for the Mohawk Towpath Scenic Byway's 5th anniversary since being designated one of America's Scenic Byways. The campaign centered on the "Bike the Byway" event held on Saturday, August 28, 2010. The event attracted 76 riders, which exceeded all expectations by 153%. Highlights of the publicity campaign included:

  • The organization's executive director discussed the history of the Byway and details about the "Bike the Byway" event with J. Michael O'Connell on "Capital District Forum," a 30-minute public affairs radio program broadcast on WQAR-FM 101.3 on August 15.

  • River Life and Latham Life promoted the "Bike the Byway" event in the article "Go Cycling Through History" by Rebecca Eppelmann in August 19 editions.

  • The Times Union Clifton Park blog by Myla Kramer promoted the "Bike the Byway" event (http://blog.timesunion.com/Cliftonpark/).

  • The organization's executive director and a member of the Board of Directors appeared on "The Schenectady Today Show" hosted by Ann Parillo on Schenectady Area Access Channel 16 on August 25. They discussed the history of the Byway and details about the "Bike the Byway" event.

  • The Clifton Park Spotlight promoted the "Bike the Byway" event with the color photos of the Byway and the article "Two Wheels on the Towpath" by Jacqueline M. Domin in the August 26 edition. 

  • The Community News listed the "Bike the Byway" event as one of its featured "Happenings," which appeared on the front page of its August 20 and August 27, 2010 editions.

  • Phil Bayly of News Channel 13 WNYT mentioned the "Bike the Byway" event on the August 26 morning newscast.

  • Fred LeBrun, columnist for the Times Union, took a car-and-bicycle press tour of the Byway and wrote the column "Cycling Through History" for the August 27 edition of the paper. The column appeared on the front page of the Sports section (http://www.timesunion.com/sports/article/Cycling-through-history-633786. php). 

  • The Sunday Gazette reported on the "Bike the Byway" event in the article "Bike the Byway Event Shows Riders Erie Canal History" that appeared in the August 29, 2010 edition.

Bartel Communications, Inc., was featured in a mini-case study, "The Chamber Provides Valuable Recommendations for Members," which appeared in the July/August edition of The Bottom Line, a monthly newsletter of The Chamber of Southern Saratoga County. The article described how a Chamber recommendation helped Bartel Communications seal a deal with an Ohio-based company in the regulated casino gaming industry for a 10th business anniversary strategic plan and promotional campaign.

Bartel Communications donated special-event, community-relations and media-relations services to the Friends of the Waterford Public Library. According to Empire Friends Roundtable: "The Friends of the Waterford Public Library demonstrated creativity, innovation, community involvement and recognition, plus excellent promotion of Friends!"
