Friends Roundtable of the New York Library Association named the Friends of the
Waterford Public Library the winner of the 2009 Small Friends Group Prize for
activities held and publicity gained during 2009 National Friends of Libraries
Week. Bartel Communications donated special-event, community-relations and
media-relations services to the Friends of the Waterford Public Library.

Marketing: Strategies That Drive Customers To Buy" to the Guilderland
Chamber of Commerce. Following the seminar, Pauline offered "Food for
Thought" speed-marketing consultations to pre-selected Chamber members.
Each Chamber member met one-on-one with Pauline to discuss current marketing
challenges and to receive advice and counsel. Pauline's appearance at the
Chamber was a fundraiser for the Regional Food Bank. Monetary contributions plus
41 pounds of canned food goods were donated by seminar and consultation
participants.

education course at Hudson Valley Community College. In "Building a
