Pauline Bartel of Bartel Communications, Inc., presented the interactive program “Strategic Media Relations for Consultants” to members of the Consulting Alliance. She discussed the  tools and techniques that shape a successful strategic media relations program, ways to work professionally with the media and how to harness the power of publicity. 

Bartel Communications has been contracted by eclipse Compliance Testing in Solon, Ohio, to create a strategic plan for an integrated marketing and public relations campaign for the company's 10th business anniversary.

Bartel Communications has been contracted by the Mohawk Towpath Scenic Byway to create and execute a publicity campaign for the organization's 5th anniversary since being designated one of America's Scenic Byways.

During "The Art of Proposals," Pauline shared her experiences in structuring formal proposals in response to bid requests and in structuring informal proposals in response to emerging opportunities.

Pauline Bartel of Bartel Communications, Inc., was re-appointed Chair of the Publicity Committee of the Board of Directors of the Friends of the Waterford Public Library. She will serve a one-year term.

 

Empire Friends Roundtable of the New York Library Association named the Friends of the Waterford Public Library the winner of the 2009 Small Friends Group Prize for activities held and publicity gained during 2009 National Friends of Libraries Week. Bartel Communications donated special-event, community-relations and media-relations services to the Friends of the Waterford Public Library. According to Empire Friends Roundtable: "The Friends of the Waterford Public Library demonstrated creativity, innovation, community involvement and recognition, plus excellent promotion of Friends!"

November 2009

Pauline Bartel of Bartel Communications, Inc., presented the seminar "Subtle Sell Marketing: Strategies That Drive Customers To Buy" to the Guilderland Chamber of Commerce. Following the seminar, Pauline offered "Food for Thought" speed-marketing consultations to pre-selected Chamber members. Each Chamber member met one-on-one with Pauline to discuss current marketing challenges and to receive advice and counsel. Pauline's appearance at the Chamber was a fundraiser for the Regional Food Bank. Monetary contributions plus 41 pounds of canned food goods were donated by seminar and consultation participants. 

 

Pauline Bartel of Bartel Communications, Inc., taught a three-session, continuing education course  at Hudson Valley Community College. In "Building a Buzz for Your Business," Pauline taught small-business owners how to use an array of low-cost yet powerful word-of-mouth marketing strategies, including harnessing the power of publicity and using social networking to raise visibility, enhance business and boost the bottom line -- even in tough economic times.

 

Pauline Bartel of Bartel Communications, Inc., completed a three-hour orientation, "Fulfilling Our Mission: Translating Your Compassion Into Community Action," at the American Red Cross of Northeastern New York and has joined the Public Affairs Team as a crisis communications specialist.

Pauline Bartel discussed crisis communications in the seminar "Snowstorms and Flooding and Ice -- Oh My! Surviving Your Next Disaster" that she and Geoff L. Turner of Tech Valley Continuity presented at the U-Start Business Incubator in Schenectady, NY.
